Websites, digital marketing, and practical strategy for small businesses
Clear digital experiences for the way your business really works.
I help businesses of all kinds—from highly technical platforms to simple, distinctive brands—look clear, sound like themselves, and make it easier for people to take the next step. Web development, digital marketing, and the wider business picture work together.
The real problem
I understand the work because I live it, too.
A good business can still look unclear, dated, inconsistent, or unreliable online. Banba Creations connects the website, marketing, messaging, search visibility, accessibility-minded structure, and public-facing story so the way you show up reflects the work you are already doing.
I understand that work because I run Doggo Nice Day, a small bakery for dogs selling directly at farmers markets in Long Beach, CA, and Avo Nice Day, a micro-farm where I am a certified California producer of rare avocados and citrus. I work with real customers, local markets, changing availability, limited time, and the practical decisions that sit behind a small-business website.
How I see the work
I don’t build from the outside looking in.
I start with the business as it actually operates: the people it serves, the offer it is trying to explain, the questions customers ask, the places they discover it, and the next step that should feel natural.
Start with the real business.
Before design, I look at your offer, your customers, your operations, your existing presence, and the trust gaps that may be costing you attention.
Make the value legible.
Then I bring the message, content structure, visual identity, search language, calls to action, and accessibility-minded flow into one consistent story.
Create what the business actually needs.
Custom WordPress functionality, carefully chosen integrations, and site-specific AI tools are used where they solve a real problem—not where a generic feature would create more noise.
Selected work
From highly technical builds to simple, memorable websites.
Here are a few examples of how I bring web development, digital marketing, clear messaging, and the wider business picture together—whether the solution is a complex system or a simple, distinctive site.
Shared Recipes Club

The challenge
Shared Recipes Club needed to evolve from a recipe website into a complete member experience for finding, organizing, planning, sharing, and managing recipes.
The approach
Design and build a connected digital ecosystem that brings together recipe discovery, memberships, family profiles, nutritional information, meal planning, shopping lists, family cookbooks, dietary goals, and a personal kitchen concierge. The membership paywall allows advertising on public-facing pages while removing ads for logged-in members.
What this demonstrates
Complex WordPress development, membership architecture, paywall and ad-display logic, custom functionality, user experience design, content organization, nutrition features, family collaboration, and turning a large idea into a usable digital product.
Build detail: I built more than a recipe blog. The system can read recipe photos and PDFs, pull out ingredients, instructions, servings, preparation times, and nutrition, and flag missing or uncertain information for a person to check. It brings together recipe discovery, family profiles, meal planning, shopping lists, family cookbooks, dietary goals, memberships, and a Kitchen Concierge that helps with recipes, pantry use, leftovers, substitutions, grocery budgets, My Kitchen, and seasonal ideas. The membership paywall lets public pages show ads while logged-in members see no ads. Billing uses direct Stripe Payment Links, Stripe-hosted billing, and verified server-side webhooks rather than WooCommerce. This is the difference between a connected digital product built around the business and a template site or lowest-bid gig with a few disconnected plugins: every feature has a defined purpose, and AI supports approved information instead of inventing the source of truth.

Local Harvest Farmers Markets
Tap or click to learn more
The challenge
Local Harvest Farmers Markets had operated for decades largely through word of mouth and needed a digital presence that could help customers discover the markets, vendors, products, and community experience.
The approach
Create a market website and custom vendor-directory system that gives the markets a professional public presence while allowing vendors to submit their own information and be added to the directory through a streamlined workflow.
What this demonstrates
Custom WordPress plugin development, vendor submissions, automated confirmation emails, directory management, local business marketing, community storytelling, and practical digital systems for a real-world small business.
Build detail: I designed a complete vendor workflow: vendors can apply in English or Spanish, see only the questions that fit their category, add a cell phone number and setup photo with a preview, receive a confirmation in their language, and send attachments for review. Staff get a private dashboard, downloadable files, bilingual confirmations, and an internal Spanish-to-English translation while the original language stays saved. This is far beyond a basic Squarespace contact form or generic directory plugin: the submission, review, translation, and public vendor listing work as one practical system shaped around how the market actually operates.

The challenge
IHGS is a long-established UK institution dedicated to heraldry, genealogy, and family-history education. It wanted to make its specialist work easier for a US audience to discover as it expanded into the American market.
The approach
Build a US-facing digital experience that carries the institution’s heritage and credibility into a clearer modern visitor journey, helping potential students and clients understand the courses, services, and next steps.
What this demonstrates
International positioning, specialist credibility, course discovery, educational storytelling, structured content, SEO, accessibility-minded design, and trust-building.
Build detail: I created a US-facing experience with custom course pages, landing pages, clearer education paths, specialist content organization, search-engine foundations, cross-market positioning, and credibility-building messages. The chatbot concierge helps people find the right course or service through guided choices or a written question, stays within its intended subject, handles off-topic or abusive input, reports interactions, and prepares a handoff when an IHGS expert should answer. This goes well beyond a template brochure site or a quick marketplace build: it guides a US visitor from the first question to the right next step while preserving the institution’s specialist background and human expertise.

The challenge
California’s Delicious Nuts is a new business with no digital presence yet. It needs a clear, trustworthy starting point.
The approach
Start from scratch with a website that gives the business a home online, then build a social media presence that supports discovery, trust, and sales.
What this demonstrates
Practical first-step digital strategy, product-focused messaging, simple web design, and a holistic plan for growing a new business.
Build detail: I am starting from scratch with a clear website that gives the products, brand story, customer path, and search foundations a proper home. The next step is social media that sends people back to the website, builds recognition and trust, supports promotions, and answers customer questions. Rather than handing over a generic launch template or a disconnected social feed, I am building the digital foundation around the real products, audience, and readiness of this new business.

Doggo Nice Day
Tap or click to learn more
The challenge
Doggo Nice Day needed a cheerful, trustworthy digital home for a farmers-market bakery made for dogs.
The approach
Build a custom site around the bakery’s personality, products, ingredients, market presence, and the questions dog owners ask.
What this demonstrates
Distinctive brand voice, product and dietary education, market discovery, local SEO, and a structured foundation for future guided product tools.
Build detail: I shaped the site around the bakery’s personality, products, ingredients, dietary information, farmers-market locations, local search details, story, and next steps. It also creates a reviewed foundation for future guided product tools. This is more than placing a logo and menu into a pet-bakery template: the experience answers the questions dog owners actually have before they buy—what is it, what is in it, who is it for, and where can I find it?

Avo Nice Day
Tap or click to learn more
The challenge
Avo Nice Day needed a digital presence that could explain a small farm’s story, seasonal products, and real-world availability.
The approach
Build around the grower’s story, what is in season, how it is grown, where it can be found, and why a small harvest deserves direct customer trust.
What this demonstrates
Seasonal content architecture, local producer credibility, agricultural storytelling, farmers-market messaging, and an AI-ready structure for reviewed updates.
Build detail: I connected the grower’s story, seasonal availability, varieties, growing information, farmers-market details, pollinator-friendly practices, California certification, product information, and search visibility through custom page structures. The foundation is ready for reviewed AI help with seasonal updates and approved questions, but it does not invent availability or make unsupported growing claims. This is the difference between a digital presence built around the farm’s real seasonal rhythm and a quick template or lowest-bid build that treats every business the same.

I need to look more credible.
Your website is often the first explanation of the business. I bring the website structure, visual design, performance, accessibility-minded structure, and trust-building content into alignment so the presence feels as considered as the work behind it.

About Banba Creations
Built by a broadcast icon who made the leap into digital and small business.
In fact, as Liza Lake, I made a name for myself in radio and television through talent, professionalism, and the ability to earn an audience's trust. Today, I am building the same reputation as a web developer and marketing strategist. As a result, I bring broadcast judgment into premium websites, press relations, and founder-led business growth.

Why "Banba Creations"?
Banba is the Matron Goddess of Ireland—a powerful symbol of resilience, creativity, and connection to the land. Likewise, her story reflects the way I approach my work. As one of the ancient protectors of Ireland, her spirit inspires my mission: to build strong, beautiful things that last.
In that spirit, Banba Creations helps turn dreams into reality, guiding small businesses from concept to launch and into sustainable growth. Moreover, my client work is grounded in what I live every week as a small business owner: I run Doggo Nice Day, a small bakery for dogs selling at farmers markets in Long Beach, CA; Avo Nice Day, a micro-farm where I am a certified producer of rare avocados and citrus in California; and Shared Recipes Club, a passion project that began with a simple frustration: I wanted recipes that were not bogged down by ads, walls of text, and keyword stuffing. I put it on the shelf for a while, then recently brought it back to life with all the features I wanted. Most of all, I love getting to know my customers, being a part of the community - and of course making the doggos happy!

Pricing & starting points
Choose the right place to begin.
Start with the level of support that matches the business problem you need to solve now. Each option can lead into a larger, more connected project when the time is right.
I need a complete website.
For businesses ready to build or rebuild their digital foundation.
Full website builds$1,500+
In practice, full builds begin at $1,500 and are scoped around your goals, content needs, integrations, SEO, speed optimization, mobile experience, and accessibility-minded requirements.
Also, payment options are available so project costs can be planned in a way that works for your business timeline.
I need an outside perspective.
For businesses that already have a website or online presence but need a practical audit and prioritized next steps.
Full digital presence audit$100
In a full audit, the practical review covers your website, social profiles, Google listing, platform presence, photos, messaging, calls to action, SEO basics, and priority fixes. Because time is money, the audit is built to respect both: I use that time to identify the changes most likely to help your digital presence earn attention, trust, and revenue.
I need a plan I can use.
For owners who need marketing direction and useful tools without immediately hiring a full-time marketing specialist.
Marketing Strategy$250
Similarly, a practical social media audit and custom marketing plan helps small businesses that are not ready to hire a marketing specialist yet. Then I review what you have, create a plan tailored to your business, and give you the tools to create, schedule, and boost your own content with more confidence and better results.
Retainer required for project work
Finally, a retainer is required to reserve project time, begin strategy and planning, and secure your place on the production calendar. I do not offer free consultations because time is money, and I will not waste mine or yours. However, audit and strategy fees may be credited toward a larger project when applicable.
Before you begin
A few questions before you choose your starting point.
The right first step depends on what your customers are experiencing and where the current digital presence is losing value.
Is a weak digital presence a real business problem?
A weak digital presence can make a good business look unclear, dated, inconsistent, or unreliable. As a result, if people cannot find you, understand you, trust you, or see what to do next, they move on before you ever get the chance to sell.
Does marketing strategy matter before design or posting?
In short, strategy clarifies who you are speaking to, what problem you solve, how customers find you, what objection you need to answer, and what action they should take. Consequently, you avoid wasting time and marketing budget. Without that foundation, even a beautiful site or busy social feed can fail to bring traffic or sales.
How does SEO fit into a premium build?
At the technical level, SEO starts with structure: clear page hierarchy, useful content, fast performance, mobile-friendly layouts, metadata, internal flow, and language that matches how customers actually search.
Do small businesses need speed and accessibility?
Moreover, speed affects trust, search performance, and whether visitors stay. In addition, accessibility helps more people use your site and shows a good-faith effort to create a public-facing presence that is easier for everyone to navigate.
Should you hire directly instead of using a freelancer platform?
However, hiring platforms can waste time with unreliable bids, uneven communication, and disconnected execution. Instead, with Banba Creations, you hire one accountable strategist who understands websites, marketing, messaging, media, accessibility, and small-business operations as one connected system.
The next chapter
Your business already has a story. Let’s make sure people can find it, understand it, and remember it.
Whether you are launching, rebuilding, growing, or trying to make sense of an online presence that no longer reflects the quality of your work, Banba Creations can help you find the real problem and build the right path forward.
