Digital Presence for Small Businesses

Websites, digital marketing, and practical strategy for small businesses

Clear digital experiences for the way your business really works.

I help businesses of all kinds—from highly technical platforms to simple, distinctive brands—look clear, sound like themselves, and make it easier for people to take the next step. Web development, digital marketing, and the wider business picture work together.

Highly technical when the problem needs it Simple, clear, and easy to use Marketing and business thinking in the same plan

The real problem

I understand the work because I live it, too.

A good business can still look unclear, dated, inconsistent, or unreliable online. Banba Creations connects the website, marketing, messaging, search visibility, accessibility-minded structure, and public-facing story so the way you show up reflects the work you are already doing.

I understand that work because I run Doggo Nice Day, a small bakery for dogs selling directly at farmers markets in Long Beach, CA, and Avo Nice Day, a micro-farm where I am a certified California producer of rare avocados and citrus. I work with real customers, local markets, changing availability, limited time, and the practical decisions that sit behind a small-business website.

Digital presence for small businesses strategy tasks on an illustrated to-do list

How I see the work

I don’t build from the outside looking in.

I start with the business as it actually operates: the people it serves, the offer it is trying to explain, the questions customers ask, the places they discover it, and the next step that should feel natural.

01 / Understand

Start with the real business.

Before design, I look at your offer, your customers, your operations, your existing presence, and the trust gaps that may be costing you attention.

02 / Shape

Make the value legible.

Then I bring the message, content structure, visual identity, search language, calls to action, and accessibility-minded flow into one consistent story.

03 / Build

Create what the business actually needs.

Custom WordPress functionality, carefully chosen integrations, and site-specific AI tools are used where they solve a real problem—not where a generic feature would create more noise.

Selected work

From highly technical builds to simple, memorable websites.

Here are a few examples of how I bring web development, digital marketing, clear messaging, and the wider business picture together—whether the solution is a complex system or a simple, distinctive site.

The strategic value

Different businesses. One connected approach.

Each featured project has a different audience, operating reality, and digital problem. The strategy changes with the business, while the underlying way of thinking stays connected.

03 / IHGS

Institute of Heraldic & Genealogical Studies

Challenge

A long-established UK institution wanted its specialist expertise and educational offer to reach a wider US audience.

Banba approach

Built a US-facing experience that connects the institution’s heritage with clearer course discovery and next steps.

Core value

Credibility, education, SEO, and structured content.

The work is never just about making a website look better. It is about helping the right people understand why your business matters and what they should do next.

The next step after the portfolio

Start with the problem your business is trying to solve.

Banba services are connected to the same questions behind the featured work: what needs to become clearer, more credible, easier to find, better coordinated, or ready for its next chapter?

01 Credibility & trust

I need to look more credible.

Your website is often the first explanation of the business. I bring the website structure, visual design, performance, accessibility-minded structure, and trust-building content into alignment so the presence feels as considered as the work behind it.

Web Design & Development

Strategic site architecture, visual design, responsive development, landing pages, service pages, integrations, and launch support.

02 Messaging & positioning

People do not understand what I offer.

When the value is buried in vague language, people cannot tell what to choose or what to do next. Clear positioning gives products, services, courses, service pages, pitches, and calls to action a useful customer path.

Product Pitch & Messaging

Offer positioning, objection-aware copy, product descriptions, display messaging, market scripts, landing-page, email, and promotional copy direction for products, services, courses, and creative work.

03 Search & visibility

I need more people to find me.

Being discoverable is more than adding keywords. Search structure, local visibility, Google presence, content, speed, mobile usability, and accessibility-minded technical improvements all help people find and use the site.

SEO, Performance & Accessibility for Small Business Visibility

SEO structure, metadata, internal flow, local visibility, speed cleanup, page-weight reduction, mobile usability, and good-faith accessibility improvements with documentation.

04 Marketing & coordination

My website and marketing do not work together.

Marketing should give people a reason to pay attention and a useful place to go next. I connect strategy, social media, campaigns, email, funnels, analytics, and content planning to the customer path.

Marketing Strategy & Campaign Planning

Audience, offer, and content strategy; campaign planning, launch calendars, measurement, email, funnels, landing pages, and lead paths.

Social Media Direction

Content pillars, posting direction, platform purpose, profile cleanup, calls to action, brand consistency, and boosting or ad-readiness guidance.

05 Launch, growth & public story

I am launching or growing something new.

A new offer needs more than a launch date. I help connect offer structure, practical tool planning, founder bios, the public story, press materials, and announcement strategy to what the business can actually sustain.

Business Launch & Growth Foundations

Launch priorities, budget realities, tool planning, customer paths, offer structure, practical next steps, and marketing foundations that support real operations.

Press Relations & Public Story

Press releases, media kits, announcement strategy, founder bios, brand narratives, talking points, and launch, event, or community publicity support.

The connected process

From real business problem to useful digital presence.

Every project moves through the same connected logic, shaped around the business rather than pushed through a generic production line.

  1. Understand

Look at the business before the brief.

Look at the business, audience, offer, current digital presence, and the point where people are getting lost.

  2. Clarify

    Make the value understandable.

Turn scattered ideas, services, products, and stories into a structure people can understand.

  3. Build

    Create the connected digital presence.

Create the website, messaging, marketing foundation, search structure, and customer path.

  4. Strengthen

Refine what helps it keep working.

Refine the details that support trust, usability, accessibility-minded structure, visibility, and growth.

About Banba Creations

Built by a broadcast icon who made the leap into digital and small business.

In fact, as Liza Lake, I made a name for myself in radio and television through talent, professionalism, and the ability to earn an audience's trust. Today, I am building the same reputation as a web developer and marketing strategist. As a result, I bring broadcast judgment into premium websites, press relations, and founder-led business growth.

Why "Banba Creations"?

Banba is the Matron Goddess of Ireland—a powerful symbol of resilience, creativity, and connection to the land. Likewise, her story reflects the way I approach my work. As one of the ancient protectors of Ireland, her spirit inspires my mission: to build strong, beautiful things that last.

In that spirit, Banba Creations helps turn dreams into reality, guiding small businesses from concept to launch and into sustainable growth. Moreover, my client work is grounded in what I live every week as a small business owner: I run Doggo Nice Day, a small bakery for dogs selling at farmers markets in Long Beach, CA; Avo Nice Day, a micro-farm where I am a certified producer of rare avocados and citrus in California; and Shared Recipes Club, a passion project that began with a simple frustration: I wanted recipes that were not bogged down by ads, walls of text, and keyword stuffing. I put it on the shelf for a while, then recently brought it back to life with all the features I wanted. Most of all, I love getting to know my customers, being a part of the community - and of course making the doggos happy!

Pricing & starting points

Choose the right place to begin.

Start with the level of support that matches the business problem you need to solve now. Each option can lead into a larger, more connected project when the time is right.

I need an outside perspective.

For businesses that already have a website or online presence but need a practical audit and prioritized next steps.

Full digital presence audit

$100

In a full audit, the practical review covers your website, social profiles, Google listing, platform presence, photos, messaging, calls to action, SEO basics, and priority fixes. Because time is money, the audit is built to respect both: I use that time to identify the changes most likely to help your digital presence earn attention, trust, and revenue.

I need a plan I can use.

For owners who need marketing direction and useful tools without immediately hiring a full-time marketing specialist.

Marketing Strategy

$250

Similarly, a practical social media audit and custom marketing plan helps small businesses that are not ready to hire a marketing specialist yet. Then I review what you have, create a plan tailored to your business, and give you the tools to create, schedule, and boost your own content with more confidence and better results.

Retainer required for project work

Finally, a retainer is required to reserve project time, begin strategy and planning, and secure your place on the production calendar. I do not offer free consultations because time is money, and I will not waste mine or yours. However, audit and strategy fees may be credited toward a larger project when applicable.

Before you begin

A few questions before you choose your starting point.

The right first step depends on what your customers are experiencing and where the current digital presence is losing value.

Is a weak digital presence a real business problem?

A weak digital presence can make a good business look unclear, dated, inconsistent, or unreliable. As a result, if people cannot find you, understand you, trust you, or see what to do next, they move on before you ever get the chance to sell.

Does marketing strategy matter before design or posting?

In short, strategy clarifies who you are speaking to, what problem you solve, how customers find you, what objection you need to answer, and what action they should take. Consequently, you avoid wasting time and marketing budget. Without that foundation, even a beautiful site or busy social feed can fail to bring traffic or sales.

How does SEO fit into a premium build?

At the technical level, SEO starts with structure: clear page hierarchy, useful content, fast performance, mobile-friendly layouts, metadata, internal flow, and language that matches how customers actually search.

Do small businesses need speed and accessibility?

Moreover, speed affects trust, search performance, and whether visitors stay. In addition, accessibility helps more people use your site and shows a good-faith effort to create a public-facing presence that is easier for everyone to navigate.

Should you hire directly instead of using a freelancer platform?

However, hiring platforms can waste time with unreliable bids, uneven communication, and disconnected execution. Instead, with Banba Creations, you hire one accountable strategist who understands websites, marketing, messaging, media, accessibility, and small-business operations as one connected system.

The next chapter

Your business already has a story. Let’s make sure people can find it, understand it, and remember it.

Whether you are launching, rebuilding, growing, or trying to make sense of an online presence that no longer reflects the quality of your work, Banba Creations can help you find the real problem and build the right path forward.
